The first city hotel in the Middle East by Antanara, Eastern Mangroves Hotel and Spa opened its doors on June 1, 2012. According to the company, the hotel will be in a trial phase for the next three weeks, which will be followed by an official opening.

Hotel Amenities
The new property forms part of an integrated hotel, marina retail and residential destination. The interior of the hotel is as enchanting as its exterior. It features one-of-a-kind Arabian design elements in its archways, mosaics ad timber, not to mention the touches of 18-carat gold in addition to numerous other facilities and services.
Rooms
The stunning Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa comes with 222 elegantly refurbished guestrooms across five levels, all air-conditioned, with private marble bathroom featuring bathtubs or showers with rainfall showerheads, flat panel television with cable/satellite TV channels, high-speed Internet access, minibar, tea/coffee maker, desk, climate control, alarm clock, iron/ironing board and in-room safe. Rooms are designed to be spacious, from the entry-level Deluxe Balcony rooms, to the Royal Mangroves Residence, which is considered the largest suite in the UAE with up to ten en-suite bedrooms. Perfect for families, interconnecting rooms are available on every floor, with connecting doors from the corridors to ensure additional privacy.
Dining
Visitors will enjoy world-class dining in two signature restaurants, including ‘Ingredients,’ offering all day dining in aesthetically pleasant surroundings with an array of international cuisine from middle Eastern to South East Asian; and ‘Pachaylen’ (meaning ‘Mangrove’ in Thai language), serving exceptional Thai cuisine in an intimate setting combined with the best Thai hospitality. In addition to these restaurants, the hotel also features a striking lobby lounge, known as the mangroves lounge. Another stylish lounge is found rooftop the hotel, boasting breathtaking views of the Eastern Mangroves District and the Abu Dhabi city landscape. The Rooftop Lounge will feature an LED roofline and lounge front that can be programed to change color to suit the mood of the evening. Visitors will also find a poolside bar open for drinks.
Recreation
Two outdoor swimming pools are on site along with a spa tub. Other recreational amenities include a sauna, a steam room, a fully-equipped fitness center and a pool. The hotel also comes with a signature Spa that will have 10 treatment rooms and separate lobbies and check-in areas for men and women alike. Here are some of the recreational activities available either on site or nearby the hotel: Golfing, kayaking, scuba diving, golf lessons, kite-surfing.
Other Facilities and Services
Further facilities include an impressive ballroom, able to accommodate up to 320 guests for banquets, with state-of-the-art conference facilities, a pre-function area that will feature a permanent lounge area, business center and majlis, i.e. an entertainment area, as well as gift shops, hair salon and self-parking. Bridal services are also available. The hotel will also be home to an exquisite Hammam, which at a total of 1,420 square feet will be the largest in the region.
