During holidays and summer trips, most of us begin to worry about buying a tourist ticket or at least choosing a suitable hotel in advance. But how to choose a hotel there, where you go for the first time? This is when you better go to Internet! Anyways remember- it’s just not all sites are equally useful.

Rule #1. Money

In any case – whether you are going to travel abroad or thinking about a trip inside your country you should start counting your expanses – to determine in advance all of your requirements and compare them with the budget of your tour. It is understood that it’s too foolish to expect a stay in a five star hotel, if you have a modest sum.

In addition, calculate, whether you are planning to hold in the hotel all the time. It doesn’t make any sense to spend money on extra services and luxurious rooms, if you’re just sleeping in it? Anyways the choice of the hotel to needs to be discussed with a supreme seriousness, because it will save you from the rushing and will reduce the time spent at the search of a residence.

Rule #2. Hotel Brand

Remember that it’s better to consider the hotels in comparison. That is, the designation “five stars” still does not guarantee that your room will not encounter mosquitoes and ants, and cleaning will be done on a daily basis. Very often (this is especially typical for the bulk of such resorts as Egypt, Turkey, Bulgaria) we can see two five-star hotels in the neighborhood, but they differ as heaven and earth.

How not to be trapped? First of all, pay attention to the “brand” of the hotel. Of course names of Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott or the Ritz Carlton can offer something to oblige. And by the way these popular hotels are not always expensive (because they are designed for cheap resorts). On the contrary, they may have different levels in the management of hotels, but the quality of service certainly will not be non-satisfactory. Therefore, choosing the hotel through the Internet, navigating to the “global chain” still stands.

Rule #3. Friend Advice

When it’s possible guide yourself by the recommendations of friends. Especially, if they have travelled abroad not long ago. Friends can tell everything to the smallest details and give its assessment of those hotels where they had rested. In most cases, you can go to the recommended hotel without fear and calmly book rooms via the Internet virtually blind.

But believe all the reviews on the sites of tourist travel agency is not worth it! First, the bad reviews about the hotel can keep competitors. Very often, these messages do not contain any specs, but only bad grade (sometimes in the form of obscene …). And secondly, there are people who do not like the service, even at the hotel, the permit in which costs $ 10-20 thousand. And thirdly, very often the tourists go to a three-star hotel and the service is expected to reach five stars! Then they leave on the websites of the tour operators angry reviews like “The waiter insisted to have a tip!” or “in my room there was no sea view, this is simply a nightmare !!!”. In most cases the situation is dramatized to the most extreme.

Rule #4. Hotel View

On what kind of feedback it is worth paying attention to? Compare the main characteristics of the hotel with the specific “evidence» of the seasoned travelers. Typical tricks “holiday sales”: to point out that the hotel is located on the seashore, it has a beautiful sandy beach, a set of services in the room – at the highest level. While it may be that the sea is 500 meters to go, if not more, beach entrance to the sea is not (for example, in Sharm el-Sheikh virtually you can access sea everywhere, but not from the shore, which is strewn with coral and requires special shoes), and the rooms may not be safe or dry enough, or you might need to pay an additional charge for it. All this may not mean that you have selected a bad hotel. You just need to keep in mind these nuances and to estimate how much may actually cost this holiday. Knowing the details, you will be able to not overpay for travel agency and find a more suitable option.

Rule #5. Hotel Photos

Be vigilant, watching the hotel sites yourself. All of them are presented very, very beautiful. And it is typical for sites of western hotels, and of course Russian. Now, in the age of information technologies, smart marketers realize that the site is the image of the hotel. An image which is not visual for the upcoming guest yet. In fact, it may be that the hotel has been modernized with the latest technologies only in the reception compartment, and the rooms have not seen repairs for 5-10 years. So focus on the “official” photos of the hotel makes no sense.

Rule #6. Hotel Website

Book directly! Hotel website can be used for its intended purpose – for booking rooms. If you are traveling without a specific plan of your tours this is often an ideal option. A confirmation of your reservation will come to e-mail and when settling for your book you would have to pay, and if for some reason you do not make it to this hotel no one will ask you to pay any kind of charges.

You can book both hotel rooms and hostels through the Internet! It’s true, you will be asked to give your credit card in advance. This is to ensure that the hotel will send a confirmation (the so-called voucher for settlement), which, inter alia, requires the consulate for visa.

Many of this method seems to be too strenuous, because everything can be entrusted when travelling by an agency. This is so, but in some cases, for example, when you need a hotel in a particular town, remote from the beaten tourist trail in crowds, booking through the Internet – is the most convenient way. This method is suitable for those who are able to plan for many months in advance and are used to save money and time.

For example, you now, you can book a room in some European town in the beginning of the month in advance, to celebrate here a holiday taking place mid-month. And the prices will be the most attractive ones as usually they go higher during the holiday times!

Rule #7. Travel Agency

Do not avoid travel agencies. It is believed that the travel agency “wounds” the cost of the permits, simply reselling services of tour operators. This is not so! It’s not a fact that buying directly from the tour operator will cost you less than the agency. This can be confirmed by the personal experience. In the agency it will be easier to meet your budget and needs.

However, it will cause no harm to read reviews of tour operators and compare their services: very often the tour operators sell permits in the same hotels at different prices, the cost can vary considerably! With such a “comparison of experiences” it is already possible to go to the travel agency and ask to pick up a tour to a specific hotel for a particular tour operator.

Rule #8. Relax

Relax and enjoy! Even if you’ve been reading the negative reviews of your future hotel, which has already paid for, just never mind! Some people just love to spoil the rest of themselves and for the others, focusing on small things that you probably will not even notice. Let’s just wish you a successful online diving and cloudless holiday!

As it was promised earlier the next world’s highest hotel, Rose Rayhaan by Rotana will be opened to the public in Dubai in December. 72 -stored hotel will be located in the 333-meter tower. Rose Rayhaan will have only 482 rooms, including the penthouses and suites. A small kitchen and high-speed Internet will be available to guests in any of the rooms. The common restaurants, fitness center, sauna, steam room and outdoor pool will also be included in the list of the offers of the hotel. Previously the world’s highest hotel was considered the Burj Al Arab, with a height of 321 meters, which is also in Dubai.

In addition, new hotels are using the most modern and environmentally friendly technologies. Thus, the hotel Aloft, which was opened in the city on October 25, will provide tourists with hot water, heating it with energy from 560 solar panels located on the roof of the car park of the National Exhibition Company. Moreover, solar panels, located in an area of 2,3 thousand square meters, with provide warm water, not only to hotel rooms but also to the kitchens, bars, restaurants and even a pool. This is an optimal ways of nature usage.

Meanwhile, not only the height and new technologies make Dubai hotels beyond the reach – the average price of hotel rooms in the city was recognized the highest in the world while compared with many more. On average, tourists will have to pay 226 dollars for a night in this city. In addition, the cost of living increases in Dubai every month – for September, for example, it has grown by 10%. Well, imagine the prices for the December.

Despite the rise in prices in hotels, the total number of tourists from all over the world who have visited Dubai, has increased by 5%.

Vietnam plans to attract more tourists, creating new resorts targeted especially on golfers. A new luxury resort Laguna Hue, located just an hour’s drive from the international airport of Hue and Danang is scheduled to open by 2012. This seems to be a rather interesting way of “stealing” tourists from neigboring countries.

Seven well-known hotel brands, designed for 2 thousand rooms, a world level golf club, a summer residence, a business center, a spa and entertainment complexes will be located on the territory of the new resort. Tourists will be entertained, not only by playing golf, but also travel to the ancient city of Hue, which is now under the protection of UNESCO, and the commercial port Hoi. In the first stage of construction two hotels, Banyan Tree Hue and Angsana Hue, with 350 rooms, and created a golf course with 18 holes will be built.

A new golf club Montgomerie Links Vietnam, which is designed for golfers of all levels of training, has opened not far from the resort of Danang in August 2009. The golf club with 18 holes is situated on the natural landscape, rich dunes, with views of the Marble Mountains and the South China Sea. The club occupies over 700 thousand square meters of territory. The modern Golf Academy is also located here, where you can learn the sport from professionals from around the world which adds additional boost to the visitors. Construction of a golf club took more than 2 years, and about 54 million dollars was invested.

According to the Vietnamese tour managers, the creation of these golf clubs is justified. After all, the golf tourism in Asia is developing successfully, despite the consequences of global financial crisis. The leaders in this field in the region are Thailand and Malaysia which are the main competitors of this country. The revenue from the sports tourism is about $800 million a year and they increase by 10% annually. Experts believe that the Asian countries are not making right decision betting on elite sport, because apart from wealthy tourists, modern Asian fields have raised interest among sports associations who are seeking new territories for the international competitions.

Let us remind, that according to the statistics provided by the National Agency of Vietnam, for the first 7 months of 2009 the country lost 18,7% of tourists compared to the same period in 2008. Major countries providing tourists to Vietnam, China, South Korea and Japan, showed a decline of 37%. The reason for this decline of interest of travelers to Vietnam is the financial crisis and pandemic “of swine flu”. However, local tour managers do not give up and believe that betting on sports trend in tourism will give further chances in the struggle to attract tourists to Vietnam and will become a great way for the budget fulfilling for this country.

Goa – one of the nicest places in the world is located on the south-eastern part of India. This small plot of land is almost entirely comprised of not spoiled public beaches. Around 40 beaches stretch for more than 100 km along the coast of the Arabian Sea.

Goa is divided into northern and southern parts. The border is considered to be Fort Aguada. The southern beaches are sandy, clean, designed for wealthy holidaymakers. The sea is warm, calm over there. While not rich tourists, students, hippies, musicians, prefer to stay in the north.

On the beaches there are discos, variety of shops, eateries, bustling bazaars. All the beaches are municipal, but those portions of the beach, which are assigned to specific hotels, are protected.

Usage of the rest of beaches and equipments are free of charge.

North Goa
Tiracol
The regal building, Fort Tiracol, which is now “Heritage” hotel, stands above the deserted beach. Tiracol is the most northern beach of Goa and probably the most wild and untouched by civilization which might attract the attention of those who prefer to have a quite rest by enjoying the nature.

Arambol
Arambol Beach is also known as Harman. The sand here is soft and white. On red soil among the rare stones are cottages and freshwater pond. The road to the beach is surrounded by huts of locals who sell souvenirs and clothing to tourist. While the last offer might sound a more effect reason to visit here.

Vagator
Tour operators have long mastered the Vagator, so it’s quite difficult for tourists to find a place in this hotel.
Steep hill leading down to the beach of Vagator, is enriched by Chapora Fort, built in 1617 by the Portuguese in the ruins of more ancient Islamic buildings. A fantastic view of the neighborhood opens from the fort. In this part of the beach there are high cliffs, popular among honeymooners and those looking for solitude.
A little further south is a small quiet beach, known as Little Vagator beach or Ozran. It is less known and therefore less populated. The uniqueness is guaranteed here.

Anjuna
The beach is located 8 km from the town of Mapusa. In 10-12th centuries the city was a trading port of the Arabs and was called the “Chamber of Commerce.” Now every Wednesday there is a flea market here, which is the most famous and “rich” in the state. Here you can find everything – from products of Tibetan weavers to china cups. But the most amazing is the atmosphere over there and the communications between buyers and sellers.
Anjuna is the most photographed beach of Goa. This means that you will not find privacy here. Lovers of exotics come here from everywhere. Also the full moon night raves are held here. So this is somewhat a perfect spot for those who like even more adventure.

South Goa
Aguada
The beautiful sandy beach, lying under the walls of the old Portuguese fort Aguada, opens a line of beaches in South Goa. Tourists can enjoy luxury hotels and tourist village of South Goa. Beach is clean, well-groomed, well-equipped. The attractiveness of the beach is the space share of the tourist among themselves and those alike. So company might be a best choice of yours.

Miramar
Miramar is also known as Gaspar Dias. It is located 3 km from downtown Panaji, with a few she-pak forests. Children love to play in the sand on the beach, as these places are good for sunbathing and walking. Bathing in local waters is not completely safe though. The spot is ideal if you prefer to have a walk and spend your leisure time together with a group of friends or just have fun while playing with water.

I think each of us dreamed of spending a pleasant time enjoying the bright night sky above and the spectacular view of some city or town. The enormous joy of such a close distance to the sky adds even more interest of such a time spending. Well, but if all of this can also be accompanied with nice music and a glass of favorite drink or a unique snack then the atmosphere can truly be called ideal.

Sirocco
Bangkok, Thailand
There is no single night in Bangkok that passes by without full house at the famous bar-restaurant called Sirocco. One of the most prestigious and expensive bars in the capital of Thailand is located on the 64th floor of State Tower skyscraper. The hotel that can truly be called a skyscraper was built originally as a complex of luxury apartments for long stay guests earlier.

Sirocco is open for its visitors not only at night, so those who wish to dine in a picturesque place will hardly find a better alternative. Lunch or dinner at Sirocco can cost a pretty penny, but at the entrance you will have to pass the dress code, so you might choose an appropriate attire to be able to get in.

But it’s worth to visit this place at least once to go up to the top of the glass bar, to touch the sky and breathe the warm air of Asia. These are the memories that last a lifetime for sure.

The Penthouse
Madrid, Spain

The luxury hotel Me by Melia, which is considered to be the pride of Madrid is located in the heart of the city. The Me by Melia, in turn, has a separate “zest” – bar called The Penthouse, located on the roof became a favorite place for all tourists. Climbing up to the bar, you can see all the beauty of central Madrid. It seems impossible to think of a better location to see the area of Santa Ana.

The bar owner, Ranger Gerber, is a famous entrepreneur in the area of nightlife and the husband of Cindy Crawford. Exclusively star guests are visiting the bar. Mere mortals will be able to visit the place during the “happy hour”. The bar is, of course, working until three o’clock in the morning, but getting there after midnight is an extremely difficult task to do. The large crowds wishing to visit this place speaks for itself.

Luna Bar
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Luna Bar is one of the most interesting bars of this famous city, located on the roof of a skyscraper, with views of the twin towers and the night lights of Kuala Lumpur. Visitors to the bar at any time can plunge into the pool and in an atmosphere of 1920-30’s, which reigns in the Luna Bar decor and accessories.

Rooftop Bar
Melbourne, Australia
The British Daily Telegraph newspaper has recently published five of the most fashionable bars and nightclubs in the world. The Rooftop Bar, located at the 16th floor of Curtin House was named as one of the best one. Its doors are open to all visitors daily starting from 8pm. Rooftop Bar will especially be a good place for movie lovers. In addition to drink and delicious food, the evening program includes watching various films in the hall with a capacity of 200 people. So try to get into the top 100!

Gravity
Dublin, Ireland
In December 2000, 50 million dollars was invested in the project to restore the Guinness Storehouse. Since the architect Robinson Keefe Devane converted this room into a museum, the cradle of brand dark beer, which became one of the most recognizable brands, began to attract many more tourists from all over the world.

Founded in 1904, the seven-storey building was designed primarily for storage of ingredients for the neighborhood brewery called St.James’ Gate. But now a Gravity Bar is located on its roof. It is an indispensable para stop of visitors to the museum, where everyone can enjoy a panoramic view of Dublin. It is believed that the bar can be visited only by paying an entrance fee to the museum. But if you want to drink a mug of Guinness beer, then you can get into the bar absolutely free of charge, finding the path to a hotel elevator. Statistics show that annually Gravity bar is visited by about 570 thousand tourists.

Top Floor Bar
London, United Kingdom
Looking for a convenient place where you can avoid the whole pathos of London? Well as a solution of the problem can be suggested this -Top Floor Bar situated on the top floor of a skyscraper Swiss Re Tower. Its visitors can spend an unforgettable evening under the glass roof in the form of a cone, admiring the stunning views of the night in London.

Moon
Las Vegas, Nevada
A couple of years ago at the top of a huge entertainment center Palms in Las Vegas was opened Playboy Club, situated on the 53th floor of Palms. The sound system in the club is extremely strong, so at first some visitors don’t even feel comfortable because of the strong sound. But the charming atmosphere will make you relax afterwards for sure.

Captain Bar
Shanghai, China
This is a cool place that offers a huge selection of cocktails and offers its visitors beautiful views of the The Bund skyscraper. Located on the roof of the Captain Hostel the bar is pretty simple, but the prices do not delight the eye but do rather impress. The Captain Bar is always ready to welcome its visitors with a quiet relaxing music.

Hudson Sky Terrace
New York, New York
On the hot New York day people want to plunge into the cool, drink a few glasses of amazing Sangria. All this can be done on the roof of the Hudson Sky Terrace. However, the only way to be on the beautiful air-conditioned section of the roof is to register in The Hudson hotel. If this option sounds good to you then go on with it.

Condesa DF Rooftop Bar
Mexico City, Mexico
Condesa DF Rooftop Bar is the most luxurious place, also located on the roof of the hotel. Condesa DF, from tablecloths and finishing furniture, has its own unique extraordinary style. Hotel is designed exclusively for quality, so only 40 people can enter the hotel at a time. And only in these selected individuals will be able to properly enjoy the Rooftop Bar.

Once in Japan, one will begin to understand why people from Japan are taking cameras on vacation and constantly taking pictures. Europeans behave the same way when they are in the territory of the island- that seems to be an island attraction. Our cultures are so different that everything seems alien and you want to immediately capture all the strangeness in front of you.
Tourists traveling to Japan, have an extensive set of stereotypes that they are trying to follow blindly. But there are things that you better do not do in Japan or you’ll get into trouble…

1. Don’t Play Pachinko
Despite the fact that gambling is not much welcomed in Japan, yakuza, of course, found a way to bypass restrictions and came up with “Japanese pinball”. They play it on heavy metal balls, which formally can not be exchanged for money. But prizes are given out for these balls, which you can then sell in special shops around the corner, which, of course, has no relation to the gambling establishment. There is nothing dangerous to go play pachinko, but do not expect that the local casinos will even remotely resemble the huge halls of Las Vegas.

Places to play Japanese pinball are rather similar to the gambling houses recently-existing near the subway stations: stuffy, noisy, dark and smoky. You probably can’t affect the course of the game as well. After throwing, the ball is flying uncontrollably through the maze inside the machine until it stops.

If you really want to be surrounded by multiple screams and intrusive noise, it’s better go to karaoke. Karaoke bars, by the way, also have nothing to do with the ones you can find in other countries. The whole space is divided into separate cubicles, so all those present at the institution do not necessarily listen to how you bother the ears of your friends. All is quiet, peaceful and private. Sometimes drinks are also included in the cost of entrance ticket.

2. Don’t Climb Mount Fuji in “Hot Season”
During the official climbing season, which is in August, you will not only have to stand in long lines to be able to move to the top of the mount, but also to admire the pictures, filled with people of different nationalities, behind whom the mountains are not even visible.
It is better to choose a more quiet time: like September or October, when there is still little snow and you can climb safely without long waiting lines. Later, in November or December, you may not simply be allowed to the slope until you are sure about your “mountaineering “skills or you are a professional mountain-climber. April-May is not suitable because of the rains. If you are an adventure fan of travel and have strong health, then you should try Fuji Mountain Race.

3. Don’t Drink in Park Hyatt Hotel
The bar, located on the top of the hotel, which became world famous through the film “Lost in Translation”, is worth to visit if you are a fan of Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray. Everyone else won’t be eager to pay 40-50 dollars for just a small plate of cheese and fruit.
It is better to look for a less glorious place, because you can admire the city views from many other points. The first thing that comes to mind is a gallery and coffee shop on the roof of the shopping center Roppongi Hills.

4. Don’t Dress up as a Geisha
There are quite a lot of places that offer to dress you up as a real geisha. In some places for 100-300 dollars your face will be painted with white paint, your hair will be done just like geisha do and your body will be wrapped in a silk kimono. Besides, you will be given several photos that will be possible to show your friends on arrival. Alas, no matter how hard makeup artist try, they cannot do anything with your European appearance, and you will still look extremely ridiculous in the traditional Japanese garb.
It is better to go and see the only Western woman who could become a real geisha.

5. Do not travel the country to see the best cherry blossom
Even if you happen to be in Japan in April, when the trees hid pinkish-white hazy blanket, do not immediately go on a trip to the country in pursuit of a better place, where you can picnic and enjoy the quiet of cherry blossoms. Many do so, starting their journey from the south of Okinawa in March and ending in Hokkaido in early May. In fact, the cherry blossoms are the same everywhere, and spending much time on such a trip is not worth it and its just a loss of time.

It is better to go to the nearest to your hotel park, spread out the mat, open the bottle of Asahi and enjoy the slowly falling to the ground petals. Certainly, there are more beautiful trees in Japan, the petals of which are more pink and bigger. But the essence of the holiday is in quiet contemplation, but not in the bustle and comparison.

As you know, the best wine is produced in Europe, more precisely, in Southern Europe. So, here you can find hotels that can provide the most demanding tourists the best selection of wines, as well as wine therapy, wine spa and haute cuisine. The winners of the Wine Hotel Awards in 2009 were four Spanish, three French, two Portuguese and one Italian hotel.

The winner was a French Chateau de Bagnolet, from the Department of Beaujolais, which was built in the XIII century. Despite the antiquity of the structure and the obstacle in the form of the drawbridge before entering, there is a beautiful five-star hotel in the castle with a chic restaurant. Spanish Marques de Riscal from Rioja is created by the architect Frank Gehry in the avant-garde style. Guests of the hotel are offered a real wine therapy, and a relaxed atmosphere of the hotel is stressed by the ideal interiors. In the third place in the list of the best from the best is an Italian L’Andana hotel, formerly the residence of the Grand Duke of Tuscany. The chef cook is famous Alain Ducasse.

The second three of the best opens with Spanish hotel called Read’s, located on Mallorca in the ancient villa. There is a very modern Vespasian hotel and spa resort. In the fifth place is a French hotel Les Sources de Caudalie, which is not far from Bordeaux. Health and rejuvenating treatments with wine bias and winner of Michelin stars- Chef Frank Salen are waiting for the visitors of the hotel. The second three of the best closes the Catalonian Peralada Hotel, which is ready to shelter not only lovers of wine, but fans of golf, beach holidays and long walks.

In the seventh place is the Portuguese hotel Aquapura, located in the valley of the River Douro, where the oldest vineyards in Europe are located – here despite the epidemic of phylloxera, survived the vines, the descendants of the Phoenicians planted more grapes. In the eighth place is the French Chateau de Berne, which is hidden in 80 acres of woods and vineyards, on the 9th is again the Portuguese Casa da Calcada, which is famous for its wine production region Vigneaud Verde, and the tenth – Spanish Hacienda Zorita, one of the oldest wineries in Spain. Rumor has it that Christopher Columbus lived here at one time, but the tourists even without such legends will find things to do in the former Dominican convent at Salamanca.

The visitors of experienciasymas.com portal assessed the hotels, which drew their attention not only on tastings, excursions to wineries and haute cuisine, but also on the promotion of wine tourism and the professional level of staff.

On October 5, the night from Sunday to Monday, a hotel in Japan, which was visited by tourists who came to see the ghost that brings happiness, was burnt. According to the beliefs of the Japanese house, the house loved by a good ghost, will certainly be destroyed, after the house spirit leaves the house.

Two-storied hotel-river “Rekufuso”, which was in Iwate Prefecture, enjoyed a good reputation of a house with a home spirit for more than 300 years. To get here, tourists booked rooms in advance, for two or three years. In “Rekufuso”, according to eyewitnesses, it was possible to observe several different features, the most famous and popular of which was “dzasiki Varas” – house spirit, taking the appearance of a child. It is believed that only innocent souls can notice such home spirit, and yet it protects the children and brings happiness. There was a room in the old hotel where dzasiki could even be seen by the adult travelers. Many of the guests, spent the night in this room, and then talked about the success which had fallen upon them after a rest at the hotel.

But even when the ghosts remain in their coveted spot, continuing to attract tourists, it does not always satisfy owners. Thus, in one of the pubs of Hampshire was inhabited by a warm and cheerful spirit that pours beer mugs to visitors free of charge. Any traveler or local resident, looking into the bar and engrossed in conversation with a neighbor or released to the toilet, coming back, may discover that his circle has considerably been increased. Of course, rumors of such a generous serving, gather more and more visitors in a pub.

However, the hostess of the establishment is unhappy – in fact the spirit fills the cups, emptying the barrels of beer, which it acquired, not paying a penny. In addition, visitors stick to the pub for hours for free drinks without buying food or extra beer, so soon an exorcist will call in a pub, and “the bartender Ridi,” as the visitors nicknamed the hospitable spirit, should be removed to another place.
