Hiking
The Kungsleden (Royal Trail) provides tourists with the hike of a lifetime, as it takes through the mountains of Lapland, including Kebnekaise, the highest mountain of Sweden 2,090 meters at height. 500 km long, the trail cuts through the mountains of Abisko National Park to Riksgränsen on the Norwegian frontier.
Adventurers can also try the Höglandsleden (Highland trail), which is very well-maintained and marked with amenities along the way, such as huts, shelters and toilets. The part of Höglandsleden, which begins around 8 km east from Eksjö is highly recommended, as it is marked by many lakes and small villages sure to delight.
